V Turecku a Recku nikdy nebylo zatim namereno +50 °C, v Recu byl vyrazne prekonan absolutni rekord pro kveten. Teplota v 850 hPa 17.05.2020 dosahuje nad Reckem az +27 °C a ThetaE v 850 hPa az +55-60 °C. Vzduch neni moc vlhky. V dalsich dnech se bude velmi teply vzduch hlavne nad Tureckem. Odchylka T850 od normalu je vic nez +12 °C na vetsi oblasti, ve stredu oblasti okolo +15 °C.

V Severni Italii a Svycarsku bylo zaznamenano nejdelsi obdobi beze srazek v historii. Jedna se o srazky denni 0.1 mm a vice, nemeritelne srazky se nepocitaji. Nejde to jen o nejdelsi obdobi beze srazek na jare, ale vubec v celem roce.

V jizni Italii (Sicilie), nebo v Recku, tam jsou rekordne dlouhe obdobi beze srazek podstatne delsi, o mistech typu Arica v Chile nebo Asuan v Egypte ani nemluve.

Prave koncem kvetna a v prvni dekade cervna vrcholi velmi vysoke teploty v Pakistanu, na proslulych stanicich Jacobabad a Sibi se vyskytuje az +50 °C. Letos tam ani takove teplo neni, jako napr. v roce 2003 a 2010. Stejne tak i v Indii na severo-zapade. I minuly rok 2019 bylo v cervnu v Indii nad +50 °C, to samozrejme extremni docela je. V Indii +50 °C, neni tak casto. Vypada to, ze ted tam vlna veder vrcholi. 25.05.2020 bylo poprve na Zemi namereno +50 °C - v Pakistanu Dadu +50 °C a Jacobabad +50 °C, Tmax zaokrouhlena na pul-stupne.

Na Islandu namerili 09.05.2020 Dyngjujokull (1689 m) -22.2°C, jediny rekord chladu v kvetnu. Neni to standardne umistena stanice.

Na konci jara - relom kvetna a cervna, bylo rozlozeni anomalii velmi neobvykle, tzv. dipolovy efekt. Na severu Skandinavie dosahla teplotni anomalie v 850 hPa az nad +10, cela vychodni Evropa od Ruska po Recko byla naopak dosti chladna, s proudenim od severu. Na severo-vychod od CR to prineslo pomerne vyznamne srazky. Letni dny se objevily i v Laponsku na severu Finska a severo-vychod Norska Nyrud 02.06.2020 +26.7 (pobliz setkani hranic Rusko-Finsko-Norsko). 01.06.2020 byl ve Svedsku zaznamenan tropicky den a v Norsku k tomu moc nechybelo.
